STATUS:             Ongoing, Full Time

DEPARTMENT:   Central Intake – Non-admitted Services

A fantastic opportunity exists for a driven professional to provide management and leadership to our Central Intake team and Home Based Nursing Administration Officers. If you are looking for a new challenge at a leadership level, this role will provide job variety and satisfaction as well as expanding your skill set.

The Central Intake Unit provides coordination of referrals and initial assessments of patients to multiple BRHS Programs for non-admitted (not inpatient) clients.  The programs encompass many of the services that deliver care to support clients both in the community and at home.

Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring services are provided within program policies and guidelines, data collection is completed accurately within required time frames, and the department's key objectives are achieved with a focus on meeting consumer needs accessing non admitted services.

 

The ideal applicant will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience leading or supervising a team
  • Minimum Cert IV in business administration or management qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in the health sector or an industry with similar multiple and complex consumer engagement requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to engage with staff and embed strong teamwork across the department and integration with other services.
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and work autonomously.
  • Understanding of the principles of Health Independence Programs and other community health services including Home and Community Care (HACC) to ensure compliance with the Policy & funding guidelines.
  • Demonstrated capability to meet key performance indicators and implement improvements to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ability to manage budgets, finances and capacity to interpret data for reporting purposes.
