We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in Quality and Risk Management to join the BRHS team. 

This role will work within the Organisational Effectiveness team to coordinate and manage quality and risk frameworks, policies, processes and activities across BRHS.  In this position you will be responsible for ensuring effective systems are in place to enable the organisation to effectively meet accrediting bodies standards, compliance with legislation, management of consumer feedback, incident management and risk management.

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator who enjoys engaging with a range of teams and individuals to foster a culture of risk awareness and quality improvement.  This position will give you the opportunity to use your professional skills in a complex and multi-faceted organisation and play a key role in organisational change.  Applicants with a background in health and a good knowledge of healthcare standards will be highly regarded.

 

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Business/Management or in a relevant Health Professional area.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role with demonstrated quality and risk management responsibilities, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary risk management practices and standards in accordance with AS/NZS ISO-31000:2009 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines.  This includes the proven ability to identify, analyse, evaluate and treat risks, as well as reporting, monitoring and reviewing risks to mature BRHS' risk profile.
  • The proven ability to develop, implement and manage complex and high level quality improvement and risk work adopting contemporary methodologies.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of methods of data collection, with the proven ability to analyse complex data to produce meaningful reports and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • A good understanding of the Standards relating to healthcare; in particular a sound understanding of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (NSQHS) Standards would be well-regarded.
