STATUS:             Fixed Term until 24/07/2020

HOURS:              Part Time, 28.0 hours per fortnight

 

If you are an experienced Allied Health professional looking for a fresh challenge, this job share position offers a fantastic and rewarding opportunity to play a key role in building and retaining our highly skilled Allied Health workforce at BRHS.

In conjunction with another Allied Health Educator, this role provides professional support and leadership to the Allied Health Teams across participating East Gippsland Health Services. A primary responsibility will be to coordinate the development and implementation of education processes to support high quality care delivery and a skilled and valued Allied Health workforce.

BRHS Allied Health Services consist of a range of core professional and administration services that provide hospital based, community and home based Allied Health services to the communities of East Gippsland. To be successful in this role you will have a positive and supportive approach combined with a genuine interest in developing rural health services and staff capacity.  Flexibility to maintain some clinical practice in your area of discipline may be available.

 

The ideal applicant will demonstrate:

  • Current qualification as an Allied Health Professional with current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the Allied Health profession (7 years preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary adult learning principles and commitment to professional and capability development.
  • Proven ability to lead the development of clinical education programs for clinical staff to encourage professional growth and high levels of clinical standards.
  • Sound understanding of clinical placements within the Victorian health context.
  • Competence in a leadership role with the ability to work collaboratively with teams to achieve required outcomes.
  • An understanding of issues impacting the Health Service (including   government policy and funding) and the ability to apply knowledge to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
