Position Details

STATUS: 12 months Fixed Term (Future contract dependent on ongoing funding)

HOURS: Full Time

An opportunity exists for an experienced and innovative administration professional to join our Medical Workforce Administration team in this newly developed position. 

The Medical Workforce and Education Unit supports medical staff at BRHS by administering recruitment and onboarding of medical staff, training and education, rostering and leave planning and coordination of credentialing of medical practitioners.

This role will work collaboratively with the Medical Workforce administration team and other key staff to ensure effective administrative systems support the BRHS medical workforce.  Key responsibilities for this role will include driving project changes within the team, introduction of technological developments for improvements and operationalisation of the systems which serve the functions of the Medical Workforce Unit.  To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter who is solution and system focussed and thrives on a challenge.


The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A qualification in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources or related field  
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a Business/Administration role. 
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including verbal (in person and via phone) and written (documentation, newsletters, etc) 
  • A track record of achieving process improvements by maintaining a strong focus on the end user.
  • A self-starter that is solution-focussed, has the capacity to problem solve and use initiative to address and appropriately escalate emerging issues in a timely manner.  
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and cooperatively in a team.
  • Proven capacity to provide a professional customer-focused service. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • Highly-developed computer skills with experience producing professional documents using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Publisher as well as skills to use online programs and internal web development.
  • Excellent knowledge of contemporary ICT systems and capacity to use multiple software systems with experience creating and managing systems for data management
