STATUS:                         Ongoing, Part Time

HOURS:                          48.0 hours per fortnight


A great opportunity exists at BRHS for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Education team in this rewarding role.  This position offers a fantastic chance to further develop your teaching, supervision and program management skills. 

The role of the Graduate Nurse Coordinator at BRHS is to coordinate recruitment and provide ongoing support of the graduate nurses to enable a smooth transition into the role of the registered nurse. This includes overseeing organisational orientation and departmental orientation, study day content, clearly outlined learning objectives and a personal learning portfolio developed in consultation with graduate.

Applicants are required to demonstrate:

  • Current Qualification as a Registered Nurse and registration with AHPRA
  • Recent 5 years' experience as a registered nurse and competent in assessment, planning and evaluation of care.
  • Preceptor/clinical supervision training and experience
  • Proven understanding and demonstration of delivering patient centered care.
  • Demonstrated ability of working in a high functioning team and collaborating with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of delegation and supervision in nursing.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written and ability to motivate and engage with staff in a positive manner to achieve identified objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of teaching and assessment principles.
  • Post graduate qualification in an acute nursing domain is highly desirable
  • Advance Life Support Instructor training is desirable
