BRHS has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Sonographer at the Grade 3 or 4 level to join our friendly Medical Imaging team in a part time role. This role offers the opportunity to work in a modern and progressive department within a rural health care setting and enjoy a great work/life balance.

Our Medical Imaging department has expanded in recent years with the installation of a GE 1.5T MRI machine, the latest Toshiba CT scanner, modern procedure rooms and the introduction of a multidisciplinary clinic in the Bairnsdale CBD. 

We operate over a variety of specialities and our facilities comprise state of the art equipment.  A full range of interventional and fluoroscopic procedures are undertaken within the department with our service also being complimented by the expertise of visiting Radiologists.  This role participates in a 12 week rolling roster which includes weekend shifts and on call duties.

Key criteria required includes:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience and current enrolment in a CPD program
  • Post graduate qualifications in a specialised modality (Ultrasound)
  • An expert level of knowledge of current Medical Imaging practices
  • Demonstrated commitment to the provision of excellent customer service, continuous quality improvement and the delivery of quality and service outcomes.
