Registrar - Rehabilitation

This role offers a great opportunity to complete your training as part of a small team of highly skilled professionals enabling you to receive dedicated and personalised training and support. You will benefit from exposure to a broad range of presentations, and regular education and training opportunities. In this role you will provide high quality patient assessment and management with direction and support of the Consultant Physician. This is the perfect platform to develop your skills in a supportive environment whilst enjoying living and exploring the beautiful Gippsland Lakes area.

We are a multifaceted and growing regional health system providing a comprehensive array of health care services to the East Gippsland community. The BRHS Medical Services Directorate is comprised of five clinical disciplines: Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Surgery; with a strong senior medical workforce enabling the provision of services across a broad spectrum of care.

  • Full-Time role with a base salary for a Registrar Year 1 to Year 2 commencing on $125,900+ dependant on qualifications and experience.

Key criteria required:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)
  • General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (and AHPRA) or eligibility for provisional registration (supervised practice and postgraduate training)
  • Undertaking Advanced Training with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (highly regarded)
  • High level interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, carers and workers and liaise with a wide range of service providers, and work efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team. 
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing regionally based specialist training.
