Contract: 9 months Fixed-Term, Part-Time 24.0 hours per fortnight

A unique opportunity has arisen at BRHS for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care in Residential Aged Care Facilities. The incumbent to this senior nursing position will enjoy a rewarding role combining autonomy and challenge. The position:

As the Residential In Reach Nurse Practitioner you will provide leadership, support and education to clients, families and service providers throughout the continuum of care. In this position you will also promote contemporary best practice, which integrates relevant research findings into decision-making about health care management. At BRHS, the Nurse Practitioner is recognised as an expert practitioner and clinical leader with advanced knowledge, skills and recognised competence.

Key criteria required:

  • Hold a current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner (Acute & Supportive Care).
  • Demonstrated experience of 5 years or more working in residential care in a senior nursing role.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge in problem solving, establishing priorities and working autonomously within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proven ability to provide clinical nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment and promote a high level of knowledge in the area ensuring evidence based nursing practices.
